After seeing the first night moon the Holy Prophet (s.a.) used to recite the following:
O my Allah pour out much blessings for us in Rajab and Shaban, make us reach safely Ramzan, and take up abstinence and uprightness (fasting and prayers), careful in our speech, turning the eyes from ugliness (the unlawful); and do not let us hunger for food and thirst for water while we observe fast
As soon as the Magrhrib azan calls for prayer echoes, today is the 1st Rajab 1433. Alhamdulillah we are still here today to live and was given this oppurtunity to do worship for this month. Don't waste this oppurtunity then!
There a few things that we can do throughout this month. They are :
-You can fast either on Monday, Thursday or even on the 13th,14th and 15th Rajab
- Those who say this dhikr during the DAY to believe what he said and he died at that time in the evening before he belonged to the heaven. And those who say this remembrance at NIGHT to believe what he said and he died at that time in the morning before he belonged to the heaven. ~ Narrated by Imam Al-Bukhari Allaah.
Or you can also practice this istighfar :
رب اغفر لي وارحمني وتب علي
O' Lord, forgive me. have mercy on me and accept my repentance.
Read it 70x per day (Source : Indahnya Hidup Bersyariat by Ust Ismail Kamus)
3. Read Surah Al-Ikhlas 11x per day or more.
4. Read the Quran, du'a and do more and more GOOD DEEDS.
Alhamdulillah, with the 2 favours that our Lord has bestowed on us : Islam and Iman. With these 2 favours, our practices in Islam becomes something more meaningful and also insha Allah we will be rewarded. And by that, the month of Ramadhan is approaching. May Allah allow all of us to meet that month to worship Him more. Ameen.
